250 researchers and engineers work on plant health, the creation of new varieties, and ways to use plants in urban settings. Businesses and education facilities in the plant science industry enjoy access to 10,000m² of experimental greenhouses and 8,000m² of laboratories.

The 2,500 students on 25 courses in the sector, ranging from basic vocational qualifications to postgraduate training, can choose from a host of career opportunities, from horticulture and seed production right through to agronomic research and bioinformatics. These are high-potential, upcoming sectors requiring cutting-edge techniques, particularly in electronics. This sector represents 30,000 jobs in the Pays de la Loire region.

Terra Botanica, theme park and business centre
The only plant and flower theme park in Europe, Terra Botanica is set in 11 hectares of nature and is popular with families.
It also offers a unique and unusual setting for business meetings. Seminars, symposiums, trade shows… Over 200 businesses use the Terra Botanica business centre and its 3,500 m² of private grounds.
